When Kapitus first sought a solution, their process was highly manual, requiring a large underwriting staff to support both data entry and document review. These tasks caused friction on a number of levels, starting with accuracy (human error) and efficiency. The cost of supporting this manual process was significant and not scalable. When application flow was slow, underwriters were left with nothing to do. When volume was large, backlogs resulted in missed opportunities.

That’s why Kapitus turned to Ocrolus. Ocrolus used AI-based computer vision and human-in-the-loop review to extract and analyze data from bank statements.
