MAXIMUS (NYSE: MMS), a leading provider of government services worldwide, announced today that Barbara Selter, Vice President of MAXIMUS Health Services, will be a featured presenter at the annual Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Conference.

Ms. Selter will examine how technology can help to streamline and improve the eligibility process for Medicaid Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) programs. Her session will focus on the challenges of financial eligibility determination for home and community-based services, as well as the opportunities to increase quality and efficiencies through the use of financial transaction analysis tools. She will be presenting alongside Victoria Meakin, President of Ocrolus, an emerging leader in bank statement review automation.

“As the average life expectancy in the United States increases and more people are living with disabilities, states are looking for ways to better care for their growing LTSS populations while reducing program costs,” said Ms. Selter. “By using available technology and automation tools to streamline the LTSS eligibility process, states can save considerable time and money, as well as address fraud and abuse.”

The annual Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference is a meeting for state, federal and private sector representatives to exchange ideas about Medicaid systems and related health policies. The conference will take place August 15-18, 2017 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland. To learn more, visit mesconference.org.
